Those three things should not be over $1000.
Here:
Core i7 - $280
G.Skill Ram - $160
P55A Mobo - $135
And you really shouldn't get an i7 with a crappy video card, it just doesn't go.
XFX 5770 - $180
Might as well finish the build for you
Corsair 650TX - $100 (before $20 MiR)
Any AZZA case.
And you said you were going to keep your hard drive. And what are the specs of that power supply you said you'd keep. Trust me, you don't want to think that it'll be sufficient and hope for the best.

also, the 5830 will be release@ 1/25 for less than $200 USD and have nearly same performance to the 4890. throwing this out here
also, i7 for 1156 is just stupid in general, 1156 was a dead platform when it was released, go 1366, 920, blah blah blah

Actually disregard that i suck cock, because it seem to get the i7 920 with the x58 mobo for ~$350 dirt cheap from China or nearest microcenter was impossible for OP
i have no idea if your 3d modeling involves heavy GPU support, but it will be slow down with the 128bandwidth@ higher resolution, more AA, etc
