No body ever needs a full tower, look for those that can fit 5850 with good airflows
samsung f3 for better performance
650w is enough to power a 5850 and extreme overclocks along with 10 fucking fans
expensive HSF doesn't mean better performance, a hyper 212 can do the same
for the monitor, i would reccomand a 1920 x 1200 (16:10), since 16:9 is basiclly good for nothing
inb4 mx-2 cuz i'm a faggot
protip: if you have microcenter, they are selling i5 for $150 dollar along with some nice p55 mobo, look for p55A if you want USB 3.0, Sata 6gbs crap
Dell is also selling the 5850 for ~$250
http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/products/Gaming_Video_Cards/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=A3198515&dgc=CJ&cid=24471&lid=566643&acd=10550055-1225267-u733849t0f0fp29253c0s441
- 10% off code 1SC0KPSK$BN10J = $252
if you want cheaper ram, look for the ocz gold, they are only ~$70 after rebate
edit: even xfire 5850 don't takes 750w
also if you want to crossfire in feature, just go AMD build for full x16 bandwidth, p55 are split in 8x/8x

This is the one on my build, and it can crossfire with only 600 watts and its 50USD after instant and mail in rebate.

While it's good to save as much as you can, but it's still better off to run the PEG connectors directly from the PSU then rely on some molex-PEG adapters.
Also the price difference between these 2 PSU is just $20 dollars, I doubt OP will starve to death if he spends extra $20 bucks on the PSU he wants to get.

And Asus is planning to ship next week a USB 3.0/SATA 6Gb/s card for $30 bucks. It will have 2x USB 3.0 and 2x SATA 6Gb/s ports.
The card uses a PCIe x4 slot.
