64-bit if you got more than 4 gigs of rams.
32-bit if you got lower, it just depends on how many gigs of rams you got.
Most games nowadays are compatible with Windows 7 32/64 bit.

I prefer 32 bit, because system 64 bit requirement more than 4Gig ram to unlease potential.
And there still plenty v.game that support 64-bit.
BUt there different story when after 3 years from now. Because more cheap and large size of memory.

You have a handful of things to gain and virtually nothing to lose.

I find 32 bit to be more trustworthy.

which is for nearly all purposes and intents, completely and utterly solved at this point in time.
you will be hard pressed to find an issue like this.

None of those are really valid anymore, stop clinging to dated rumors.
I haven't encountered a game or driver that wouldn't work with a 64-bit OS in ages. If you have something that doesn't work, that's due to the manufacturers negligence, as 64-bit processors have been mainstream for years now.

Definitely 64 bit, I mean its just a matter of time before everything is in 64-bit. Like Adobe after effects CS5 is going to be only 64 bit comparable i heard now.

If your machine can deal with it (>4GB RAM), 64. If not 32.

nothing to lose? how about driver, program and game support and compatibility? | I've only run into like one or two of these since switching to a 64-bit OS, neither I haven't been able to find a solution to.

I agree. Everything that I have run on a 32 Bit OS works on my current Windows 7 64 Bit edition. Most applications and drivers have a 64 Bit edition, and if not, they still work most of the time...
