Which is the better processor?

AMD Phenom™ II X4 Quad-Core 810 Processor (2.6GHz, 512K x 4 L2 Cache)

Or,

Intel® Core™2 Quad Processor7 Q8400 (2.66GHz, 4MB L2 Cache, 1333MHz FSB)7

And, for ram,

8GB DDR3 SDRAM Memory

Or,

8GB 800MHz DDR2 SDRAM Memory (4 x 2048MB Modules)

Finally, you can just look at these two computers:

The Phenom II computer would be better for most purposes (HD4670 > GT220), but they're both extremely overpriced.

I find it positively hilarious that you think 730 dollars is overpriced for that computer.

If you think it's better, you know more than me. I mean, it's a quad core, that would be able to play a game like TF2 pretty smooth, or not?

TF2 doesn't even scratch the surface of the potential of 730 dollar computer. Nor does any source game.

730 is fucking expensive for a fucking Phenom II with a 4670, there has to be a limit of faggotry of how this can get.

Throwing together the equivelant parts from newegg...

$140 Phenom II 810
$180 G.Skill 4*2GB DDR2
$100 WD 1TB Caviar black HDD
$47 after MIR 1GB HD4650
$42 after MIR Generic mobo
$50 Generic crappy case with generic crappy 300W PSU
$45 Generic case
$20 Generic keyboard/mouse
$45 Generic speakers
$670 or so total

Even this is a bit generous on the quality of each component, knowing the shit that goes into pre-built computers. I guess I was overestimating a bit how overpriced the computer is, but still... when you spend as much on your RAM as your CPU and GPU combined, you're fucking doing it wrong.
