The brand won't help at all unless we know it's model number and the OP's PSU.

You cannot upgrade a laptop video card unless its a dell pretty much. All other laptops have it integrated or welded on atleast.

I beg to differ? Dell is just a brand. There are tons of notebook computers in the market with graphics cards that can be replaced, which has almost nothing to do with the name and brands.

Congratz on finding the MXM slot. This slot exists on .0000000000001% laptops.

Gratz man, gratz.

.0000000000001%? That doesn't explain how I got my laptop with a Mobility Radeon HD 4330, and why are there tons of graphics cards designed for laptops. To name a few, Mobility Radeon HD 4xxx/5xxx.

You can buy laptops with new radeons in them. Thats like asking how you can buy a laptop with a geforce 9800GT in it. BECAUSE THEY SELL THEM LIKE THAT WHEN YOU PAY FOR IT. I could get one with a 9600GT for around 750 USD. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152126

What do you think? You have a special laptop because the card is decent?

So much for .0000000000001%... If you are implying that those graphics cards are simply connected by cables, you are wrong.

Go buy it, open it up, and find out the welded it to the motherboard. They do it all the time. Unless you can get a mxm slot laptop, or a laptop from dell, you will not be able to change the gfx card.

Get over it.

Hero - please confirm crap before you post. It's getting annoying seeing someone correct you all the time, and it makes you look stupid, not to mention how you have to argue with them afterward to try and back up what you said before.

Thanks,
Your friendly neighborhood moderator.

I'm using an HP, not a Dell. I have a MXM slot specifically for my graphics card.

Uber rare my ass...
