So i just moved my room, and my computer is really far from the router...so i had the choice of running a long chord to my computer, but i was wondering if it is possible for my computer to use wireless internet like a laptop?

If you are that far, you may wanna crack out more like 60 - 70 bucks and buy an N adapter as its much stronger.

I don't think it will make any difference unless the OP's router supports 802.11n as well.

I've pulled 2+mb/s over my wireless G connection before, and that's through the floor as my router is below in the basement
