So i just moved my room, and my computer is really far from the router...so i had the choice of running a long chord to my computer, but i was wondering if it is possible for my computer to use wireless internet like a laptop?

I don't think it will make any difference unless the OP's router supports 802.11n as well.

Thats true. I have an N gigabit router myself, and that alone kicks up the signal and the speed for all users around.

Man you should get a N router. My netbook gets about 9mb on speedtest download through a brick wall.
