|
the computer freezes after i log in. it works when i go on safe mode, but i cant do anything to fix it since everything is blocked. i cant use system restore because it was turned off until now. when i try starting up using diagnostic mode, i can use the computer for about 5 minutes then freezes again.
this happened after i got a virus, installed spyware doctor, then scanned the computer and deleted the virus.

Run MalwareBytes in safe mode. If it still fails to boot properly, run a repair installation.
All else fails, reformat.

How about HijackThis? If you can run it, post a log file.

| If Hijack fails too then try gmer and Advanced Program Termination to kill the virus executables.

Safe mode with networking.
Did you actually run MalwareBytes in safe mode?

1. Boot in safe mode
2. Run MalwareBytes from C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe
Correct me if you have already tried so.
BTW, you computer is infected.
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [M3000Mnt] Rundll32.exe M3000Rmv.dll ,WinMainRmv /StartStillMnt
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [CarboniteSetupLite] "C:\Program Files\Carbonite\CarbonitePreinstaller.exe" /preinstalled
Disable these strings in msconfig > startup or CCleaner > Tools > Startup.
