Dual QPI is no use if you got yourself a standard 1366 board.

I've got a Gigabyte EX58 UD4P Motherboard running an Intel Core i7 920.
If in the future u purchase an Intel Core i9 Processor, will I have any limitations? I don't want to buy a Motherboard and a Processor..

If your switching from AMD using a phenom X4 II
I wouldn't get a core i9. Seems like a waste of money.
I wonder what the price tag would be....

6 cores with hyperthreading?
Hot damn, maybe I'll pick it up when I build my computer next August if it's within my budget.

Expect this to be in the quadruple digits when it launches, but I'll be shocked if the price range is around $550-700.
And simple bios update my let you run one of these on your current i7 bloomfield boards.

Yeah I expected as much.
But hopefully the release of the i9 will cause a drop in price for the i7.
