How much wattage? And what other parts do you have on your comp.

You need to know what is your PSU.

Doesn't say what your power supply is, but I'm sure you'll be fine. Any PCI-E card will do.

Hi,
I have the same question.
My system configuration is as below.
ATI Radeon X2100.
Motherboard M2A74-AM.
1Gb DDR2 667Mhz Ram.
AMD2+ 64x2 4000+ 2.1Ghz processor.
PSU 230watt.
2 DVD writer.
I am planning to upgrade my computer so that I can play new games.
I need the help regarding purchasing graphics card support to above configuration.

wattage is practically trivial, amps are what matter

a 8600 gt doesn't even require a 6pin plug in. It can run off the motherboard pci-e slot.

even if it does run off the pci card it's still a good idea to have a good psu (minimum 450 watts)

Don't make a man spend more than necessary in the times of a recession.
