Mininova has turned legit...
Mininova was my personal favourite and a favourite of millions of other torrenters.
Unfortunately after a court hearing, were forced to only allowed Content Distribution torrents.

For example, the Dutch band Silence is Sexy released their complete album on Mininova and received the Interactive Award 2009 for doing so. The Dutch television broadcaster VPRO decided to start using Content Distribution in 2009 in order to distribute documentaries.
We would like to thank you for your support. Especially everyone that contributed to Mininova receives a big “thank you!” for the effort! We hope to keep welcoming you on Mininova and our other projects (e.g. Snotr, Dispostable).

It has no more Illegal downloads and is not empty...
P.S This isn't warez because Mininova is now Legal...

Demonoid is coming back, they just had a server problem, did you not read http://demonoid.com/ ?
And PirateBay is not down, I still use it all the time.
And I didn't like Mininova that much. They don't update their trackers. 95% of torrents I see there have question marks or zeros for the seeds/peers, then I'll download it and it has like 200 seeds.

Public trackers suck...
Pros: Anyone can download from them
Cons: Anyone can download from them
No one EVER seeds
unreliable
anyone can upload torrents (viruses)
No bans for not seeding
Thank god it was taken down, it doesn't deserve to leech from the scene.

I agree. I used to use Demonoid mainly for stuff, and whatever I couldn't find on Demonoid (which wasn't much) I just found on TBP. Now that Demonoid is down, I've found myself to rely mainly on TBP, and only since then have I reailzed how horrible it was. Not to mention I generally dl around 200Kbps and upload at 600Kbps-1Mbps, and I find that I've got a 3-5:1 ratio at the end of every torrent (that is if I don't cap the upload which raises my dl to 450Kbps), but for what? No one else ever seeds. I really need Demonoid to come back up or for someone to give me an IPT invite.

| TPB original owners didn't go to jail but yes they did have to pay $30 million dollars, so they sold the site (now the new owners are trying to legalize TPB (seriously)
