I use the word "simple" in the sense of "not particularly important."

(I'm running Windows 7.)

When I open Windows Media Player, the visualization isn't on. It SAYS that the last-opened visualization is on, but it just shows a picture of a musical note in a square.
I can switch to the visualization just by selecting one, but is there a way to make it so it always starts on the visualization?

I don't know if you could poke around in the registry for a default. You could try Winamp, with the superior Milkdrop 2..
