Every once in a while my game would crash and freeze, then after about a minute, it would boot me out and say that I disconnected from XBL, and then I would have to reconnect, blah blah blah. This happens like every 30 minutes or so, and I usually don't have anything else using the internet connection other than my Xbox, occasionally my computer is still on, but I won't be doing anything with it.
I'm using a 50ft ethernet cable to hook my Xbox to a router.
Does anybody know why this is happening, or has it happened to anybody here before?

Unless it's a sketchy ISP, sounds like something port related. Be sure port 88 on UDP and 3074 on UDP/TCP are both open to the 360 (or, more simply, set a DMZ) for the console.

I set a static IP for my Xbox, and when I forward the ports, I can't even connect to XBL.
And my ISP is Bell Canada, so it's not sketchy.

Try a demilitarized zone then.
