mymumsun, it isn't always easy to "save" an extra $200 for some people. I personally don't have a job, and It took me aaagggessss to save.
Personally I would go for either one of these.
EVGA GTX260 216Cores Superclocked
XFX HD 4890
If your looking for a cheap 5000 Series ATI card with DirectX11, then I'd get XFX HD 5770 but I don't know if it's any good or not.

At the time being the 5770 is roughly equal to the 4870, however the former will surpass the latter (slightly, but not much) as the drivers mature, as well as using less power, DX11, running cooler, etc.
@OP: If you're dead set on nVidia, the best you'll get is a GTX260. If you're willing to get an ATi card, get a 4890 if you want power or a 5770, which is slightly less powerful, if you'd like DX11 and OpenCL and a 40nm manufacturing process.

Yeah, if you're not really interested in DX11, you should go with the HD4890.
DX11 is relatively new anyways, so there aren't many things that require it yet. But you'll probably need DX11 cards in like a year or two, so if you don't mind purchasing another card then, go for a HD4890, if you can't afford another card in a year or two, get the HD5770.
