There's also a good chance that the op doesn't know that you can build a computer so easily. With a budget as low as $500 you'd be much, much better off doing so. The op did not specifically request a pre-built computer, only suggested it.

In that case, yes, the computer in the OP is fine for the price. If you're looking at a budget closer to $700, this looks fine for the price.

If you're willing to spend an hour or two assembling parts, there are plenty of guides on the internets regarding the subject. Assuming you're careful and don't knock off a capacitor or something, the most you'd be doing is placing parts in their respective places; no soldering or anything of the sort is required.

It is a question regarding a pre-built computer.

However I do agree with you, you can literally get a 5x better comp if you build it than if you buy it with a budget of $500.
