Its not working fro virtual villagers a new home or virtual villagers the lost children. Please help me. Thanks

I did try the search and I do get a large response for the game with the correct points but nothing happens when i change the value. maybe I am doing something wrong? how many must I select? after i check them off on the botom what do i do then? also does it work for all VV games? Thanks in advance for your help. Also, while im working on CE 5.5 it stops responding. vrrry frustrating
