I recently upgraded to Windows 7, and now I'm reinstalling all of my other programs. Among these is Warcraft 3. Using Compatibility mode, I can get it to install--somewhat. At some point during installation, the disc reader stops making noise, and the installation window stops exactly as shown in the below picture. I assume the problem is due to some sort of scratch on the disc, which is still weird because I remember encountering this problem a few times during the last installation, but I got through it somehow. What can I do?
(Also: Are there different uses for the spellings "disc" and "disk?")

We're going to rule out Windows 7 being the problem, because I have WC3 TFT installed on my computer and am running Windows 7 Ultimate x64.

...I already tried dusting the disk...didn't help...
I'm downloading the installer from Battle.net, in themeantime, another question: When I play Starcraft, a lot of the colors are messed up. Before I installed 7(not that I'm placing the blame on that), I had this problem a lot, but I could fix by experimenting with having the Campaign Editor open beforehand. But now, the colors are always messed up. What can I do?
Interestingly enough, when I take a screenshot, it looks fine. But when I play, there are some pixels that are just way out-of-line.

Well since you own it, I say get an ISO and install it that way. You own it thus making it 100% legal.

The word disk is short for diskette. Instead of say floppy diskette, people just say floppy disk.
Disc is for optical media as in CD (Compact Disc).

Thank you.
EDIT: I got the game to install, finally, but I have the same problem from last time: As soon as I start Human Campaign level 6: the Culling, the screen goes black and doesn't do anything. What can I DO??
