Hi i just came upon this site and it looks really cool. i was wondering for a game such as say starcraft, what kind of cool hacks can you do? Anybody have some good ideas for hacking a game such as starcraft? thanks!

generally speaking: Stuff that happens on your computer.
disable Fog, show invisible units, displaying enemy health as numeric values.
sometimes position is editable, but usually not in rts games

and if course, if it's singleplayer, you can edit everything, including resources, amount of health left, etc...

a person who is good at programming can change a game to whatever he likes, at any aspect.
i am just new to CE(a few months) , and learned some basic programing in it. i have successfully made some MODs to a game, including graphical changes and physics, such as making an aircraft move in a way that the default game could not do.

that is another use of CE. CE is not only for cheating - changing numbers, it can help making major changes to any software, in some way.

wrong, a person that is good at reverse engineering can change a game to whatever he likes. Programmers don't have such knowledge, unless they learned reversing as well.
