Cant boot in safe mode. Its just making the pc constantly pop up drwat32.dll failed error. CONSTANTLY, like every few seconds. Ive tried to turn off the shit it put in startup folder but it isnt working. Task manager will not launch either.

I cannot reformat this pc, and I will ignore anyone telling me to.

No programs will run. Im trying to find he god damn startup folder because i know what ever is in it.

drwat32.dll is to do with error reporting and it goes in C:\windows\system32\

mY MISTAKE, ITS DRWWIN.EXE/DRWAT32.EXE. Both are viruses.

failing a repair install, suck it up and reformat.

boot into a live distro and grab whatever you want to save.

I removed the drwat32 and drwwin and it stopped. Now I just have to find the cause. Now I can manuver through windows. Only thing is task manager wont launch, but i can use tuneup utilities for that.

for Win XP(dono bout other wins)you can enable task manager through the Start>Run command

Problem solved already. Amazingly I didnt have to just reformat. AMAZINGLY, i could delete the virus. However the pc bsod during a chkdsk /f /r and i cannot boot safemode. Also the HDD does not appear in disk managment.

Just gotta use a partition program, move the shit, and reformat. The virus just replaced all the programs with fakes.

Edit: drive cannot be identified by partition magic.
