Well My laptop decided to bsod while i was asleep just afk in a game. since i couldnt see what happened as i was asleep i looked for something easier to decode a mini dump then microsoft debugger.

http://nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html

Freeware. It reads the BSODs telling you all the drivers that were running when it happened and what caused it.

Im not sure why but i bsod'd in my sleep with a kernel error and it says msrpc.sys caused it. I just did a clean install. 100% reformatted. Any ideas? Its the only one ive gotten.

You must be doing something wrong then. I personally installed Win7 on my new PC, took about 5 minutes going through the installer, and under 20 minutes of actually installing. Was zero hassle. First thing I did was get all the drivers. I haven't even had a single error message yet. Seriously. Not even a "You don't have permission" blah blah blah.

I didn't even have to install any drivers. My computer was good to go after Win7 installed, and when I plugged in my printer and whatnot, Win7 automatically downloaded and installed the correct drivers for me.

Heaven.

TBH the only driver I had to install was my integrated gfx card, which Steam notified me about when I tried to launch TF2.

Dude you've listed 5 fucking applications which "caused a lot of problems".
I have fucking Firefox, Pidgin and Utorrent and thy all work perfectly fine dumb ass. It's all your fault, you were an accident... Stop blaming other shit. Reformat or shut the fuck up dick head.

@SWAT: Take a chill pill Very Happy No need to flame.

@Hero: uTorrent (1.8.4, build 16688) runs perfect on the 7600 RTM. I regularly download fansubbed animes and have no trouble with it at all. uTorrent has caused me trouble in the past on XP, giving me some BSODs which sounds similar to your issue.

Ive done a little googling and some debugging and it is pointed at Utorrent. I havnt had any problems when i run it as admin though. The problem is suposed to be something about kernel inturuption. I BSOD'd in my sleep at about 5am and i was downloading something on it. But ill see what happens if i dont use it for a while. This is a problem for SOME.
