First time dealing with virus here.
What I mean is i got a virus by opening an .exe that started going so fast and I'm pretty sure it edited system 32 or system files and then, when I restarted it said, " Winlogon.exe is not a verified or trusted program" or something of the equivalence so i system restored and now it no longer says that, but I'm not sure if its gone. Is there a way to check if the virus is gone and verify windows folder?

Heres the thimg. I have mcaafe and I don't think it will catch it, because i scanned the files before I system restored but they didn't catch it. So i doubt it would catch it this time if it were still to be on my computer. Any other help?

Get a different virus protector and scan?

Either MWB or Avira, maybe Avast!. I wouldn't recommend the online Live service or any virus protection from Microsoft. @1, it's a little more than obvious OP is running Windows.
