				| Create and boot into a gparted live CD. Shrink your main partition by at least 15GB (you'll probably want significantly more than that if you want it usable as the OS takes ~15GB alone) then create a second partition (NTFS) out of the raw space to install Win7 onto.
Boot back into WinXP, virtually mount the Win7 .iso file and install it on the new partition.

				| You can do that with Ubuntu >;O. Don't know of any other OS you can do it with so easily. | |

				| Installing it mounted wont work. Better idea is to use acronis disk director suite in windows XP to create a new partition. Then extract the Vista installation and run it from your HDD (be careful NOT to format your XP drive).

				| Man idk if this will work. my problem is this laptop has no TnL support on xp, so i figured I'll just install Vista or win7 which have updated drivers and support it off the GPU. But i dont have a usb cd drive or flash drive usb.
This is very annoying. The intel chipset doesnt suck as much on vista/win7 as it does on xp.

				| if you don't want to do that, there is another way, use a disk reader drive, set it to read/write live disk and set it to the most appropriate speed to run on preferably 75RCM by 80R on settings then reboot saving and keeping all the data from before without using a partion | |

				| How do you extract this? This ISO doesnt even have a setup file in it. Its made for booting only. I need to install tinyvista just for minimal use. | |

				| Meh my only option is booting it. Resource wise tiny vista uses less everything. Yes regular vista I could justturn all the extra off, but this is already done. Plus its only 700mb instead of like 2.4gb. | |
