Only way to make voting system more active/better would be to just let everyone submit a written vote. (Not a Poll, just a random anonymous written vote on a voting thread)

Make mondays-fridays the entry dates, then weekend the voting days. On monday the next SOTW is announced.

Also, to give others more incentive to join, how about you let the winner pick the theme for next week? >_>? It's kind of boring when all the ones entering can do is submit a sig.
