				| well we are using ubuntu as our operating system in computer science class We installed it to our USB's 16GB

Now i know like nothing on how to edit ubuntu to change like themes, make it faster etc as I am used to windows

Is there like a all in one program to do that stuff, or maybe something else ?

I have the original distro so its nothing fancy

 any suggestions would be helpful

The all-in-one bit goes against the "do one thing well" philosophy, but I don't know if there are any programs like that since Ubuntu is out there now to get a crap-bunch of users by making everything pretty hard to fuck up. Not necessarily to carry out philosophies.
Basically, I think you might want to look at why there's Linux, then how to use it in general.
I don't know why the fuck people will use Ubuntu and not expect to have to learn anything... maybe it's trendy or because it's easy to put on a flash drive.

Anyway: System > Preferences > Appearance. You can get other themes.
If you don't know how to use an operating system (and won't even bother googling for answers), why are you using it in a class?

I'm ranting, but I could keep going....

				| Well obviously I wont know the linux operating system but I still know how to use it but i am more experienced with windows

the reason why we are using it because its free, and dont have to pay $150 for a OS on every computer

All I asked was how to make it more customizable, and google isnt the answer to everything
as experienced people can give better suggestions

				| Iunno, lot of information on a search like this. Fonts, theming, you can do a lot of that stuff with the Appearance frontend. You might learn how to use GNOME Do, and however impractical, the compizconfig-settings-manager offers flashy effects.
But you still might want to give using Linux in general a look. If only for the use of Ubuntu in that class.

Ok my bad I was just going through really quick, the only other thing would be the hard drive load and clutter I guess, maybe your computer has more crap on it. Defrag it or something
