I decided to do some of the stuff I was told and I remade the shield Entirely.
UPDATE: 18/9/2009 sword got longer
UPDATE: 19/9/2009 Shield ditched handle got longer and is remade
QUICK-UPDATE: 19/9/2009 Changed handle palette
Update: 21/9/2009 Made the tip steeper, various changes.
QUICK-UPDATE: 21/9/2009 Changed the hand guard, full black is bad.

Sword is too flat, needs more contrast. Try making the outline darker than the colour inside it(shield) but not black. _________________ BENBENBENBENBENBENBENBEN

Okay, will try to do that but eh...
If it needs more contrast do you mean that the colours need to differ more(Sorry my main language is not English and I've never really read tutorials just watched other people and improved with criticism)?

well to me it looks good but when i really think about the sword it looks simple u need to make the sword look unique like the shield

Yea try to add tones of gray, also try replacing the black outline with a dark grey one for the blade part
