Well my brother's looking for a laptop with DDR3 but i'm not that good on laptops. He wants a laptop that has a good speed and performs well in games, kind of like a gaming computer.
he wants it to be able to play current games like bioshock 2.

I would look into the Gateway FX series, their price/performance ratio isn't too bad for laptops.
However, if it doesn't have to be a laptop, I would certainly go with a desktop. You'll get more bang for your buck.

DDR3 doesn't really offer any benefits over DDR2. Not sure why he wants it so bad.
If he wants a laptop that can play games at any decent quality/frame rate for under $1.5k tell him to forget the idea of a laptop. Gaming computer != laptop.

DDR3 uses less power than DDR2, thus uses less battery life.

Get a Toshiba - They are real fast, mine connects to the internet FASTER than my PC!!!
Mine was $700 though, but look in England, it might be cheaper...

Hmmm, but it runs fast EVEN W/ Norton AND AVG scanning AT THE SAME TIME, but yeah, my PC has shitloads of stuff on it....I removed it all, though and uninstalled, but still shit connection...Anyway, My laptop is PRETTY empty....about 6049563949493e+6 gig on it (Well obiously im joking, lol, notice the E???xD) But, yeah, they're RLY fast, still.......

Thats not nessesarily because its a toshiba O.o?, i got an idea that its the specs, and possibly the processor?

Your connection has nothing to do with the amount of crap you have on your PC. Please, you're making yourself look like a retard and I'M going to have to deal with people flaming you when you post stupid shit comments, so do me a favor and increase your knowledge in PCs if you're going to be helping people here.

Either look into newer Gateway laptops or Alienware, I really like the new Gateway laptops they're pretty good and not overpriced too much
