Which 1`s the best 1 to put it on? Some people said to put it on 11 because they get the best stability. Mine`s on 6 which is default I beleive.

it really depends on what channels your neighbours have. If everyone on your street had channel 6 or 7 then you'd want to choose a different one.
There is a software that scans what channels each wireless signal has but I forgot the name of it :S

I used to have mine on 11 but whenever I used the phone my signal would get lost so I changed to 6 and it's fine, I guess it depends on what's around you.

Yes, the signal of some cordless devices interfere with the wireless signal and that's why people have to change the channel, so as to avoid any noise or disconnection in the wireless.

So the higher the channel the better the quality? I do have a cordless phone in my house and I think it runs on 802.11b frequency.

The phone isn't likely to interfere even if it's on 2.4GHz.
I've used channel 11 for years, and it's been fine. The neighbours are on 1, 6 and 11.

Why are some people saying it`s bad to be on the same channel as your neighbors? Does it interfere with the connection?

If you have several neighbours on the same channel as you, it can in some cases cause problems. It depends on the routers in use - some of them aren't as good at filtering out background chatter as others.
In general, if you have very few neighbours (5 or less) using wireless on the same channel as you then it shouldn't be a problem. If you're in a university dorm and 40 people have routers on channel 11, then it's likely to cause issues. The only time you'd need to change it is if you're getting kicked off the network constantly or are having performance issues.

Yeah, I think I might change it to 11. My connection gets really slow at times & disconnects alot. and I just realized when my phone rang today, my computers wireless stopped working. lol.

Today I decided fuck it and went to buy a 50 ft cat5e cable at walmart for $30. Went from 500 kbps to 1 mbps, now to call comcast and ask why it is not 2-3 mbps.

Probably because the host you're downloading/testing from isn't sending the data at your max speed.

Naw I have megaupload premium. If MU was the bottleneck, my speeds wouldn't have doubled with the ethernet cable and I shouldn't be getting 2-3 megabytes per second in another house.
It's because we got comcast a long time ago when they were slower. Now you get a faster plan for the same price if you just call them.

i hope you realised that the quoted speed is the MAXIMUM you should expect as opposed to minimum or average
