I`m on my desktop and the adapter is called 'WUSB11 version 4." It`s from Linksys. Idk why it keeps disconnecting. Anyone know how to fix this problem?

Some wifi cards with crappy drivers are known to time out
Move the wifi modem or computer closer to each other, or find updated drivers to your card if it's not already so

My router is upstairs, but Idk I went on the linksys website and it said the last update of the driver was in 2006...

| I've got a similiar problem, that might be the cause. Sometimes the router's shitty, and tends to disconnect when it gets too much traffic.

Used to happen to me, you have to disable or enable a setting in Device Manager or Run -> MsConfig, I forgot. & Idk. My router disconnects my PC & My Laptop at the same time sometimes after hours on rare occasions. it`s just my PC. But I found a good way for it to stay on for a good couple of hours. You have to go into the Advanced Settings of your Wireless Adapter and click around on the tabs until you see "Enable power save and let your wireless adapter shut off." You untick it. And it works for a couple of hours. If you guys don`t get what I`m saying just say so I`ll explain it better.

He is saying, new computers are set up for a mode called 'Power saver mode' all parts on the computer have this function. What it dose is, for instance your CD drive, is set to power saver, which means the computer can shut if off in order to maintain battery life, but if you untick it it will enable your CD drive to run without being shut off, as well as being able to bring your computer out of power saver mode. In vista it is fucking a pain in the ass to locate this function for your utility's. For some reason I couldn't find it where it was suppose to be until I restarted.
Start>control panel>Device manage> Click continue> open the drop down menu for network adapters> right click on the adaptar you are using> the far top right should be a Power Management tab> open that and untick the top one.

Believe it or not, you can redirect your wireless signal with....MIRRORS
Yes thats right. Put some mirrors in the path of the signal and bent it towards your reciever. It works pretty well, just use small mirrors.
