It's hopeless, tried all kinds of stuff, flushing DNS, setting firewalls on and off, reboot, everything.
Here's my problem: I can't connect to my domains (irule.at or mengpz.com). They seem to work for others and not for me, in my whole household. They work through a proxy. I tried pinging them, they were replied. It's basically there, but somewhere it's refusing it's connection. Help!

Ok, sp people in your house can access those domains, but on the computer in question cannot. You have flushed DNS, rebooted, fiddled with firewalls... what program are you using to access it? IE/Chrome/FF? have you tried telneting to port 80 on the server and seeing if it allows you to open a connection? And I'm talking about the old-school command line based telnet, not the remote desktop type thing that Microsoft is pushing. How is your home network set up? are all the computers in the house connected directly to the router (assuming you have one) and the router connected to the modem (assuming thats your method of connection)?

Why do you even need a domain in the first place?
Just setup a regular home network and be done with it.
BTW: XP/Vista Home based OS cannot join a domain, but can join to it via WorkGroup

Check your hosts file in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
Can you ping the host? Can you nslookup the host? Can you tracert the host?

Because he runs a website?
Has someone fucked with the modem/router settings? Have you checked your software firewall if any? :/

My whole household, so everyone in my house, can't connect to it. I believe I made that clear.

Sounds like your router has an issue. Check to see if there are any port forward rules (possibly set by UPnP/NAT-PMP) or QoS rules that might be screwing with your traffic.
Also check your router's logs to see if any connections were denied and for what reason.

Seems to me like it's a problem with your ISP's nameservers. I suggest changing the DNS servers your router connects to to OpenDNS's servers (IP addresses are 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220) and see if it fixes the issue.
