anyone ever notice its really always the second OS released by microsoft that is good/okay/working?

1- NT 3.51
2- Windows 95
3- NT 4.0
4- Windows 98
5- Windows 98 SE (Fails because it took 11 months and wasn't really much of a difference)
6- Windows 2000
7- Windows ME
8- Windows XP
9- Windows Vista
10- Windows 7

*decided not to include server OS's or variations (x32,x64)

Windows ME was a disaster.

Didn't they try to make an OS that was half in the DOS world and half in the NT world?

I had it installed for about a week and it crashed on me regularly. I reverted to Windows 2000 pretty much straight away.

Windows ME was MS celebration for the new Millennium and Win2K is not part of a desktop OS. It's the successor to NT 4.0.
