Hi, my friend had deleted her @Bios and RealTek programs thinking they were viruses >.> She is running Windows XP Version 2002. I have checked through and can't seem to find a way to reinstall. I even googled it and only one thing came up; system restore doesn't work either. Any ideas that could help?

OP said system restore won't work.

Do you _really_ need these utilities? I thought they were just ancillary applications that helped with administration and updates sometimes.

Realtek is a company that produces hardware (and drivers). You can't delete drivers whilst Windows is running, it's protected against that.

It sounds like she's deleted some random Realtek utility (e.g. sound config app) which probably won't be missed.

Do you have the Windows software restor disk? With the newer versions it has an option to fix the errored files and back up files.

Realtek produce audio drivers. And also networking hardware and drivers. Well i know all they're drivers can be downloaded. As for the bios you could flash it i guess, But if that screws up her computer wont post Smile.

Flashing your bios:
