Like a program maybe? I want to like fuckin` make my computer as fast as it can go. It`s a Dell Dimension, prolly like 5-6yrs old. 2GB ram, 2.8GHZ Single core. Yes it sucks, but it does work. It has an onboard graphics card. lmfaoo. but yeah. Anyone know how I can do it?

I'd start by removing any programs you don't use. (start -> control panel -> add/remove programs)

I'd then move on to disabling startup crap that you don't use (start -> run -> msconfig -> startup tab)

Afterwards, I'd run CCleaner (Download)

Followed by defragging your harddrive, windows has a defragger built in. (start -> all programs -> accessories -> system tools -> disk defragmenter)

a full format and reinstall will make it nice and clean

Yeah thanks SF, I already did most of the stuff he said except the Cleaner and Disk Drefragmenter, I was looking for some kind of program that would make my processor go faster than it already is, like overclocking, I heard it`s impossible with Dell compuers because their BIOS`s are locked. I heard there was this 1 program that enabled you to do it, but I lost the link. and someone also posted this program a while back;

-Game Optimizer (Credits to LonerBoy for Telling me)
NOT RECOMMENDED UNLESS YOU HAVE A GAMING COMPUTER

Try PageDefrag for more efficient startup. I think for defragmenting you might want to try JKDefrag. It's probably the best (or very close) and free software (as in freedom). There's a version 4 now called MyDefrag and I have no idea about that, but version 3.36 is tried and true.
As for overclocking, you really can't expect much from your Pentium 4. The best way to overclock is in the BIOS and with an OEM computer (Dell, Gateway, etc), that's not possible. The only way to do it would be with software, and that's a little sketchy anyway.
