i just had to shutdown my computer because it was hitting around 75-78C
i have speedfan, and nothing shows up under fans tab. its a laptop, and the only seems to go on at 55C, and dont seem to go on at temperatures past then. how can i manually turn fan on, or correct speed fan
something important almost fried

In many laptops u cant.
I bought a usb fan that cools the laptop =) it's good.

Check for fan control settings in the BIOS. There's usually a "target temperature" option.

75 is fine for more modern chips...
Intel will eat 100c before throttling... then you still have some to go before thermal shutdown.
Any GPU will boil water before it eats shit.
