Try contacting them first and see what they'll say. |

>.> ... the BIOS ? ... how is it fucked up ?.....
I mean.. the BIOS is not in your Hard disk
if it haves a floppy drive try getting a floppy windows 95 boot floppy disk and with that just format the Hard disk to the root , then install the OS
BIOS updates are stored in the Hard disk so you should be able to delete them if your BIOS is still working enough like to make your Laptop boot. |

There are only two options:
Contact the manufacturer and ask about purchasing a replacement BIOS, they typically run about $15.
Option two would be to hotflash it. I've done it successfully many times and revived dead motherboards, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you know what you're doing, especially with a laptop, or you could potentially have two dead boards. |

Because with my great luck I'll fuck it up. |
I wouldn't recommend it in a laptop. Just send Toshiba an email explaining the issue and ask if you can purchase a BIOS, I remember ABIT charged me something like $15. |

The computer doesn't reach the bios right?
Can you reset cmos on a laptop? :S
Can the chargeing battery be used to store cmos? I dont know. If that's the case then try to pull it out and let it be out for a while. _________________

Nope, otherwise you'd lose your BIOS settings every time your battery died or got too low. It's stored in a battery similar to the ones used on desktops |
