Well two issues one is that for some reason Catalyst Control Center will not open. I have reinstalled i dont know how many times, but a good amount. I click on CCC and all it does is acts like its loading but nothing ever comes up, the process comes up for 1 second then goes away. Second issue is since i cant over clock with CCC i tried rivatuner but now that wont work. If somebody could just fix one of these itd be appreciated. I just want to overclock my new 4890.

uninstall, download driver cleaner pro and boot into safe mode and use dcp to get rid of remaining files, then boot back normally and try reinstall drivers.

tried that drawback, now i dont have catalyst at all even though i installed again and now it says i have catalyst but i dont. grr

there should be something called ati uninstaller or something in add/remove programs, if u try to remove it it'll say remove catalyst or w/e and also remove EVERYTHING including drivers, try removing everything and then using driver cleaner pro on anything ATI related and try reinstall

use a microsoft recovery point to restore and do what drawbacK said.

Also if you have VB05 or VB08 (Virtual Basic) you need to do some hotfixes.

I finally fixed it, I learned while researching driver cleaner pro gives the inf not found error. I just system restored, uninstalled drivers then ran install, waited for extraction went to device manager and picked browse, have disk, and picked the INF file. then installed catalyst control center.
