My pc doesn't have a floppy drive, only a SD card reader and cd/dvd drive.
Someone told be that if I want to update bios i need floppy drive... But is it really necessary at all? It looks like old device to me..
Doesn't the cd/dvd hardware would do the same as floppy hardware? But with like 100x more space on the disk..

What motherboard do you have?
If it really is absolutely necessary, then borrow an External USB Floppy Drive from someone when you need to update your BIOS...
Giving us your motherboard will be able to help advise you of the following procedures...

Floppy drives are only needed in certain situtations, but majority of the people who don't do technical things to their system probably won't need a floppy drive at all.
Updating the bios, or installing your OS in RAID/ACHI mode requires a floppy drive and not all USB floppy drives will work.

I dont think you would need i mean a CD is like 700MB and floppy disk is only 240MB (Biggest memory floppy disk) So you dont really need it

My mb can emulate a floppy if I insert a external drive/disk. You should check if you can do the same.

Yes well if he gave us the motherboard name we would know and have already told him what options he has for if he ever wants to flash his BIOS etc...
