It all depends on what Laptop you have really...
Some are locked to only allow changing RAM, some locked to allow changing HDD, some locked to allow changing DVD Drive, some are a combination...
But I don't think it's very often you can change the CPU/GPU... I've seen people change GPU, but it's not very often and seriously, if you buy a laptop, it's not really for games... So why would you need to switch the GPU... I'f you Photoshop/VideoEdit/Program then yes you may need a bit extra RAM/CPU Power in the future...
