Since today, this morning, I turned on my PC to look up the weather (fucking hot) but noticed this loud buzzing noise, like a bee buzzing next to your ear only lower pitched and a lot louder. I tried restarting my PC, three times, and still failed. So I grabbed my air can, "hosed" down both fans with air (not sure which one is doing it) and made sure it was upright, and the noise persists. There are sometimes when the noise calms down. Any idea what the problem is?

And if ANYONE even thinks of a reformat, just no. It's a hardware issue.

Try hose down ALL fans;
-Exhaust
-Intake
-Chipset Fan (If your motherboard has one)
-Graphics card fan
-CPU Fan

reformat, the sound is coming from your internal speaker. (jk)

Anyhow, try to pinpoint the fan (disconnect, startup and check if the sound is still there)
Could be the cpufan, or even the graphics card fan as well

As for a fix, perhaps pushing it a bit around sometimes works, but usually it's an indication that it's about to die and needs a replacement

It's a semi new fan (I use new loosely). It's an old fan, but newly made like last october. I am unsure of that being the case. All the times when I had to work with hardware, the computer wouldn't turn on. Is it safe to work with it on? Common sense is telling me I would get electrocuted.

sounds like the common yet dangerous problem of fan hitting cable , be sure that your fan cables are not against the fan blades.

Don't you think if his fans were hitting anything, he would have noticed when he blew them out with canned air? I'd say it's a bad fan.

@All who say fan blades are hitting something:
SF just stated the reason why it is not the case. I would have noticed if ANY wires were in contact with it. I'll find out which fan it is tomorrow.

They have already said it 3 times that it is NOT that.

As of right now, it listened to me and "shut the fucked up'd", but it has its moments where it always starts up.
I will try to tighten the screws and see what I get.

Try cleaning it? Use some co2 (canned air) Or if its a desktop just pop the fan off and clean out the dust.

[TPoM] Daedryon: He has already opened the PC and (if you read) made sure nothing is touching it.

Hero: He has already used canned air on them.

Read earlier posts next time please.

Im doubting he cleaned the fan on the motor too. People always think its just the cpu fan. The motor will make a hell of alot of noise if dust get sin its way.
