For some reason, my GIMP program does not have the font "visitor" (the font everyone uses for userbars). How can I get it?

After downloading the font, Control Panel > Fonts then drag and drop there. If you have GIMP open you probably have to restart to see the font.

After downloading the fonts, I always right-click->Install. I haven't ever had to restart to get the fonts to work with programs, but it may work differently on other operating systems. Note, I'm using Vista.

If you're using XP,
C:\WINDOWS\Fonts\
Drag+Drop the font file there. It will install automatically.

I've installed it and everything, but when I use it on gimp, it shows up as ariel font. I'm restarting my computer, let's see if that will help.
Nope, when I type in Visitor -BRK-, the letters show up as Ariel font. I can't believe that my computer hates me so much and never works. I even got a message that said "Installation complete".

Or on some computers Right Click>install font.
EDIT: you don't need to restart.

Right click > install just copies the font into the "fonts" directory automatically.

I always have to right-click->install.
