Cheat Engine

Mozilla Firefox 3.5 is somehow preventing me from staying logged in to the numerous sites I have accounts on. I went into tools and options and security options, but it still makes it so I have to log in every time I close the browser. So I switched to Internet Explorer 8. I only have one problem: There's one toolbar I can't seem to remove with its only content being a button that says Favorites. When I click it, my favorites are displayed across the rest of the bar. (See picture below.)
I need to remove this bar. but how?

Un lock the favorite bar.

Look at the picture. That's with and without Favorites Bar enabled! The buttom stays there!
