The download manager needs Java if I remember correctly; try updating to the latest Java.

The Beta needed IE7+, but the new RC1 can use Firefox now, but still uses its own custom Java Download Manager...
So open up Firefox, Go to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/download.aspx, select language and either 32/64Bit, login using a hotmail/live account. Recieve CDKEY and save it, download file using the Java download manager, burn the iso to disc, install using cd key and ur all done...
