i doubt that's why. the problem your having is probably the cause of Super Fetch not working, not super fetch causing the problems. anything you've installed on your pc lately that hasn't been successful?

No, no installs in the past 2 weeks. But I have been hearing loud clicks under the laptop keyboard. Maybe its the CPU.

if it's hardware failure, then no. what kind of sound is it? is it like your processors working at full load, your fans are going really fast or something that doesn't sound right?

It sounds something like, "click click cliiiiick click click." I think it's processors working at full load, i don't know.

go to task manager and take a look, check what your CPU usage is at.

Clicking usually means your hard drive is about to eat shit (as it's the head crashing or scraping against the platter)
I hope you're under warranty, back your shit up.

This, seriously. Clicking 98% of the time = impending HDD failure. Back your shit up before it eats itself. CPUs don't click.

i reckon his hdd is failing, mainly because he's getting errors and he's hearing clicking, but clicking can always be the fan getting stuck, hitting something, causing the cpu and other parts to overheat and screw up.

Heh, I've actually seen some older craptops with no CPU fan, just a large, metal heatsink and a separate outtake fan.
Yeah, though, that could be the problem. I suggest (after backing your shit up) running prime 95 or something for a while to see if you can get your system to overheat.
