I'm working in a group to make a mod for the game Mount & Blade, a medieval warfare game. Here are some models I've done for it so far, I haven't been able to get any in-game screenshots cause I still have to get python setup so I can compile the new items.

All the models are generally low-poly since it's kind of down on the graphics side. All textures are 1024x1024 except for the axe which was made so I could brush up on my modeling, that one only has 512x512 textures and the UV mapping is absolutely horrible.

				| 2400 tri's seems excessive for the axe, the handle strikes me as something that would be much better suited as being left to a texture. |

				| I actually discarded the axe cause it was more of a way for me to brush up on modeling since I hadn't done it in a while, and I didn't feel like redoing the textures or having to map all the UVs on it. |

No offense, but it looks really shitty for high quality.

What on earth are you rendering it with?

And the models are pretty cool. |

what program are you using to model ?

can you give me your axe?

or well I'll reproduce it by how it looks when I get some time so you can see why you need to smooth it. its too rough. |

Not for games. |

yes for games

when making models for old games that doesnt supports much polys you need to do at least a 4 passes materials

diffuse/specular/bump/ambient occlusion

and the bump map is the same object but modeled in Hi def and then rendered to texture. |

I use Maya 2009, not blender. And the render setup was just a pre-made Mental Ray light setup. An expansion of the game is coming out soon with updated graphics (mostly models and textures) so I was going to redo the textures and bevel the model edges. _________________
