So far so good but when making shapes like rectangles is there any way to align the mouse to a spline when adding the shape. Like AutoCAD Ortho Mode. Also when you have vertices can you extrude them? _________________

Yes, with the magnet tool and >.> no, you cant extrude a vertice because a vertice holds no direction nor size, just position. |

I believe most of them are manually modeled in 3D or made with displacement maps (( I don't really think it was with displacement maps though... they always give Bad quality geometry ))
here is an example I made for you , took me something about 3 minutes, but your machine needs to be powerful in order to do this
if your OS is x64 its much better for works like this (( mine is x32 thopugh TT x TT ))
