Find them yourself. There are a lot of tutorials in DeviantArt and some forums have some pretty nice basic tuts.

Fucking lol'd @ this whole thread.
Anyway, go to this one first, shall give you some basic knowledge:
Starter Kit (Download)
Absolute Beginner Tutorial (Very Useful)
Grunge Beginner Tutorial (Kinda like a basic intro to filter/brushes)
Pirates of the Carribean (Basic steps used to improve sigs)
Basic Filters and Blending (Exactly what it says in the title)
Things you should know (Color, Lighting, Depth, Flow, etc.)
I'd recommend doing the tutorials in order of what i gave you. Before starting your sigs freestyle, read the "things you should know."

Lol, that's fine. I guess I was being a bit hard on ya. I just guessed that since you posted a minute after me, you just ignored my post.
Anyway, download the starter pack, follow the tutorials, and you'll become so much better in no time.

Correct, to some extent, but 90% wrong.
A render is the image you start with, but that's not the actual meaning of 'Render'.
A render is an image that has been removed from the stock. The background is transparent instead of filled. And when someone requests an image to be 'rendered', they want the object to be cut away from the background.
Got it? :3
