Yeah, the shield is really small compared to the sword*.
Try to resize it to something bigger.
Edit : Maybe you should also make the sword and the shield the same color.

| What's with the small, white dot on the shield's center? I think you're trying to make a shield that's got a sharp...erm...how should I put this...?

Typo lol.
See what i edited in my post.
Now you need to rearrange the shield. I'm not sure about what you could do but the inside drawing/logo is really random on the one you made.

It looks nice, but basic.
There's nearly no shadowing.
It looks like cardboard cutouts.
Try and put some shadow in there, you'll see it'll look a lot better.

(And at the squares, it's all BLACK and WHITE no nuances)

The only shadowing I see is on the handle.
Shadow = everywhere.
And the white borders on the blade aren't shadowing... => shadowing has ONE light source
