Anyway, if you indeed made this from scratch, good job. But I can't see anything other than crap coming out of it.
Nice.. work though, I suppose.

What about sound. I would give this 7/10 but... I recommend better sprites/images.
If this game because online muiltiplayer than forget the 7/10... 100/-1

If you can even make a game in Java, then you should should know how time consuming it is.
The sprites, not very nice, but overall nice effort put in there. Really good for a first java game.

Ive done java game development in school before(lol remade megaman)
Its extremely annoying and time consuming, i'd suggest a different language.
But very good for a first game...especially based in java, however id suggest not taking it much further, its really not worth it.
