I've just got a new monitor for my PC and it has speakers built into it. I've tried going into the audio device settings and setting it to this:

but nothing seems to happen. I think it's still set up to use my seperate speakers but since it's a monitor and not like speakers, I can't exactly install it as new hardware, can I? Either way, I need some help. :l

Right click the white speaker in your task bar, and press playback devices, you'll see all your playback devices that are plugged in, select the one with a monitor on it, and enable it, then right click on it and set as default.

Cause there isn't one with a monitor as it's icon in there.

Have you actually, you know, plugged the speakers in? You can't transmit sound over a DVI cable.
