Music CD-R is inserted, but is not read

I'm trying to burn or write files to the CD, but it claims there is no CD.
I tried a different CD, a DVD movie CD to try burn a movie, but still claims there is none.
God help me.

is this itunes? and have you used daemon tools before?

this is a problem with daemon tools fooling the computer to host drives. you will need a program to fix this which is called SPTD v1.56

no idea how this works, it somehow does layer shit and fixes it

Does that drive recognize any inserted media at all ?
How many "burning appz" do you have installed within your system ?

LOL none.
WMP and RP have a cd burner though.
And indeed, it does recognize it.
