Ok, so I just coded my own 2d game and such in VC++ 08. It runs perfectly in MSC++ when I debug (F5) no errors and such. But when I go to the default location of where I save it and double click it, the game runs as a black screen any clues to why?
Edit: Nevermind I think -.-? Do I just have to have all the files(bitmaps) and the exe in one folder?

no one can actually help you lol what you think ppl can read your mind? u gotta post code etc..
btw nice portal from diablo brings back memories.

That is the source of my game.
It debugs in VC++08 no errors, But when I go and get the Actual exe and run it. Its just black.
Also if you havn't noticed it is very simple, my first game -.-

yah must be one of those microsoft game development kits.. anyways yah you might be right if it works good in debug mode that means pictures are in the debug folder.. you have to also copy/paste them into release folder where the final exe is created.

But I tried putting them all in one folder, before you even said it and it worked, so I know this is the reason :p

I think he means in the exe.
You can include them in your resource file.
