ies? (this does not include stealing internet). Like, can you get free internet using a modem? I heard this guy got free internet at super fast speeds.

Well that didn't answer my question on if you can get free internet without buying it from the companies.

Edit: Unless you are saying that labtops/desktops can use that wifi for free?

If you can install a wireless card in your desktop, then there you go..free internet. OR you can run down a wire from your neighbors filter [But you have to locate where it is, and then run a wire down to your router] that also works.

yes and no. You have to buy a free-to-air dish/receiver and its a pain in the ass to catch the satellite (the station in space) it took me 3 days to catch it but once you get it yes its free... Also get automatic motion dish so you can catch like 5 diff sats

Buy equipment and set up your own server like the ones at schools. Then you charge your neighbors a little cheaper than commercial Internet. This is possible to do If you want to make money and have free Internet when you revenue if higher than the cost. Btw this is a serious answer.
